Class/Workshop Description
Don’t waste that garden waste. Harvest those leaves to make a sweet little basket. Lily, iris, bulrush, or any long leaf you have growing in your garden: get to know your neighbours and ask them if you can help clean out their garden. You will never look at your fall garden the same way. Instructor: Christine Muir Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 1-4pm Member cost: $40; Non-Member cost: $45 Christine has been making baskets for over 35 years. It started when she took an evening class at a community high school in 1987 and she was hooked. She has taught many classes at in Alberta and Ontario. She weaves baskets in round reed, flat reed, and natural vegetation and has recently discovered weaving baskets with watercolour paper.
Cancellation Policy
We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise; regrettably, we cannot provide refunds for our classes and workshops because of our small class sizes and pre-purchased materials. If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your spot to another person. If you are unable to find a replacement, please contact registration (link to registration email) as we may have a waitlist and might be able to help you. If the class/workshop is cancelled due to instructor illness, low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund.
