Learn how to dye wool yarns at Ancient Arts Dye Studio. Register by Oct 10th.


Class/Workshop Description

Instructor name: Caroline Sommerfeld Learn techniques for planning and painting wool yarns to give you an ikat effect or colour patterns. The workshop will cover a variety of dye techniques including low water immersions dyeing and hand painting wool yarn. The class includes two skeins of yarn, dyes and a handout. There are various weights of wool for you to chose from. Check out the Ancient Arts website: Ancient Arts Yarns All yarns listed there are suitable for this class with the exception of “Herlig” Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Dye Studio, Dye Studio at 607 Manitou Road SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This venue is accessible. Time 1 to 4 pm Register by October 10, 2025 Member cost: $75 includes 2 skeins of yarn, dyes and class notes Non-member cost: $85 includes 2 skeins of yarn, dyes and class notes

Cancellation Policy

We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise; regrettably, we cannot provide refunds for our classes and workshops because of our small class sizes and pre-purchased materials. ​ If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your spot to another person. If you are unable to find a replacement, please contact registration (link to registration email) as we may have a waitlist and might be able to help you. If the class/workshop is cancelled due to instructor illness, low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund.
