Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is your cancellation policy?

We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise; regrettably, we cannot provide refunds for our classes and workshops because of our small class sizes and pre-purchased materials.

If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your spot to another person. If you are unable to find a replacement, please contact registration as we may have a waitlist and might be able to help you. If the class/workshop is cancelled due to instructor illness, low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund.

If I already own the materials for a class/workshop, can I get a discount?

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts for participants who already own the required materials. Our pricing structure is designed to cover the costs of instruction, materials, and other resources necessary to provide a high-quality learning experience.

Can I bring food and drinks into the studio?

Yes, participants can bring drinks and food into the studio. We do ask that all participants bring non-spillable drinks into the workspace area. The studio has a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and a kettle for use. There are some local restaurants in the area, including a Tim Horton’s, but time is limited during lunch for all day classes/workshops.

Where should I park?

Free Parking is available in the Austrian Canadian Cutural Centre parking lot.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and shoes, including socks. Many participants prefer to weave on floor looms or spinning wheels without shoes. It is also recommended to wear layers, as the studio temperature can sometimes be on the cooler or warmer side.

If I do not finish my project during the class/workshop, can I come back another day to finish?

If necessary additional time will be available for members to complete their workshop project. The instructor will let you know when it must be done by, based on upcoming equipment needs.

Are animals allowed in the studio?

Certified or in-training service dogs are welcome in the studio.

Today this land is home to the Metis of Region 3 as well as many First Nations and Inuit peoples from across Turtle Island. We acknowledge that there has been art, music, dance, storytelling and ceremony on this land since time immemorial and it is in the spirit of this land and its people that we do our work.
