Class/Workshop Description

Instructor: Diana Pederson and Siri McCormick Express your creativity on fabric using hand stitching and easy dye techniques. Use a simple running stitch to create a “stitched and pulled resist” on cotton fabric. This stitching technique can result in different textures, abstract and geometric designs, or fluid freehand patterns. Sample designs will be provided. This workshop will include instruction on the stitching techniques and consideration of materials, how to transfer the design onto the fabric and stitching your design. Once stitching is completed, we will dye our samples using Procion fibre reactive dyes allowing you to see your stitched design results and leave with completed samples. You are encouraged to bring your own ideas to get input on how to implement your design ideas - this workshop is all about creative expression! Workshop costs include a supply fee. Skill Level: Basic needle stitching skills. Date: April 5, 2025 Time: 10am to 3pm Register by March 22, 2025 Member cost $100. Non-member cost $115

Cancellation Policy

We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise; regrettably, we cannot provide refunds for our classes and workshops because of our small class sizes and pre-purchased materials. ​ If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your spot to another person. If you are unable to find a replacement, please contact registration (link to registration email) as we may have a waitlist and might be able to help you. If the class/workshop is cancelled due to instructor illness, low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund.
